Tile Gallery

While grieving and writing, Deanna found solace in carving ceramic tiles that illustrate scenes in her story. Deanna explains, “Every time a tile emerged from the kiln I was relieved and thrilled. Fire did not destroy the tiles. Instead, exposure to intense heat made my carvings more beautiful. In some small way, this gave me hope.”
